DocBadger

<Badger />

DocBadger is an editing suite for a bio-diversity database containing images and text descriptions of several hundred animal and plant species.

It's a suite of Microsoft Word macros, used to edit structured content for species descriptions. The intention is to provide an authoring tool based on today's tools, that can be used by non-geeks, and that's still capable of authoring for tomorrow's Semantic Web.

We're so proud of it, we're presenting a paper on it at Museums and the Web 2002

    This code is the proprietary software of Codesmiths. This code is not public domain, open source or GPL'ed !

    The reason for this is simply one of support. We support open source software, and in time this will probably be released on such a basis. At the moment, we're just too busy ! If you're interested, then please get in touch with us at docbadger@xcml.org and I'm sure we can sort something out.
