    DocBadger output is an RDF document, with an associated DAML+OIL ontology. Other ontologies are associated as descriptive vocabularies, for categorising species taxonomy, audiences, video formats, and others.

    Text content is marked-up with HTML (XHTML 1.1). This is because it is easy to transform for the web, the primary output medium. It also minimises operator training.
